I have only listed retreats in the Illinois Area here.  I have also only listed pictures, and testimonies from the 2 Retreat Houses that I myself have visited.  If you would like to submit a retreat house you visited and enjoyed, please CLICK HERE.

VILLA DESIDERATA

The Villa Desiderata is a safe place for people in recovery to have fun while working on themselves and be surrounded by like-minded people. A special affection for 12-step programs, has been offering weekends of a spiritual nature for over 35 years. They currently provide retreats for members of AA, ALANON, OA, NA & ACOA. The smoke free facility is a charming main house located on 7 serene wooded acres overlooking the shores of Pistakee Lake on the Chain of Lakes. Dormitory-style sleeping rooms that accommodate from two through seven occupants. ( Oh and by the way, they have new beds, linens and pillows!) There is a chapel for private reflection. The Lutz House is a cozy lodge complete with a fireplace, a large meeting/living room, a simple kitchen and sleeping rooms. Massages available on an hourly basis. For appointments call Mary at 815-675-6593.  Retreats, workshops, days of recollection, and special groups.                      http://www.villadesiderata.com/
